Menstrual health programs

African Cotton Industries, in partnership with Girl Child Network (GCN), has implemented large-scale menstrual health programs that combine product access, education, and community engagement to support girls’ wellbeing and school participation. 

Our initiatives focus on creating sustainable impact through: 

• Distribution of sanitary pads to primary schools and special-needs institutions 
• Menstrual health awareness and reproductive health education for students and communities 
• Nationwide program implementation designed for long-term scalability and continuity 

Long-term impact: Strengthening menstrual dignity supports consistent school attendance, improves confidence among young learners, and contributes to SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 5 (Gender Equality)
